I am a seasoned academic professional with extensive expertise in public policy and administration, as well as public finance. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Seoul National University, Korea, in 1986, followed by dual MPA degrees from Seoul National University (1988) and The George Washington University (1998). I earned my Ph.D. from the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia in 2003.
My research interests have evolved to include the processing and analysis of big data using advanced tools like R, Python, and TRANSFORMERS-backed text analysis, contributing significantly to the field of data science.
I am passionate about advancing the field through innovative research and teaching. My goal is to integrate data science methodologies with public policy, administration, and business management, equipping the next generation of professionals with the skills and knowledge to harness the power of big data for impactful decision-making, policy development, and business strategies.
